Bikini La Fama By Luli Fama |
Being from Miami and also being a stylist I am always getting asked the question “Who is your favorite bikini designer and why?” I think when choosing the right Bikini first and foremost you need to pick something that you feel your best in. The elements that make that for me are the cut, fabric and stitching.
How a bikini is stitched along the seams can make the biggest difference. Bad stitching can leave you feeling cut into, with unwanted squeezing. Fabric is important because it needs to look good wet and dry, stay snug and fitted but also have a good amount of give. Cut is important for obvious reasons, and I think the biggest question is does this flatter my body type? A bad bikini cut can make the fittest and thinnest feel no so thin and no so fit. So what are the things to keep an out for when looking to make a bikini purchase?
1. Does this cut flatter my figure.
2. Is the fabric quality with a good amount stretch. I always check for this around the hips of the bottoms, will this dig or will this lay smooth?
3.Stitching, is it close to invisible with lots of stretch. The less stitching the better, the lesser the stitching the less areas for it to dig in.
Now back to that important question. My favorite bikini brands that fit this criteria.
1. Luli Fama- love her cuts especially the bottoms, very Brazilian. Minimal stitching and beautiful colors. Did I mention it’s made in Miami?! Love Luli
2. Indah
3. Mikoh
4. Mara Hoffman
5. Vitamin A
