This dress is not new but one my favorite pieces in my closet, so I decided to break it out. I had this dress hand made for me to wear on my 25th birthday in Paris .
I’m a big fan of having leather pieces made to measure and since I went to school for design I really enjoy the process of getting it perfect. Leather is fitted with little give so it’s important that the dimension are perfect on you.
I wrote a piece a while back on how to go about having a leather pencil skirt made and while a dress isn’t as easy it can be done with the help of an amazing seamstress. Luckily I found one here in Miami a few years back. It’s important that they know how to work with leather because there really is zero room for error since you can see the stitch holes if it needs to be ripped out and re-sewn. If you decided to give it a world and have any questions please feel free to write me.
With the dress I threw on a cream tweed blazer over it to lighten things up and some tan strappy heels.
Have a Happy Tuesday and Thanks for reading. Xx Nik
