Upon arrival you’re greeted with champage and confections. They also had my favorite flowers in the room, peonies.
They have a beautful garden located at the back. Perfect for an afternoon cocktail.
The bar
I loved the bar scene at the hotel. Really elegant champagne bar.
One morning I had breakfast downstairs and skipped on my usual favorite eggs. This was the breakfast assortment.
When picking a hotel to stay at in London the most important thing to me is location, then secondly accommodations and thirdly the hotels restaurant and bar. While staying in London, I decided to stay at The Franklin hotel. The small 35 room hotel is modern-day chic meets english country house.
It’s located on Egerton Gardens in Knightsbridge right next to Kensington. The location is perfect and within walking distance of everything you would want to see and do. It is no more than a ten minute cab ride or fifteen minute walk to the best shopping and restaurants.
We ate the restaurant one night, since we heard that the chef was the Michelin starred Chef Alfredo Russo. The space is super luxe with slate velvet cushions and marble flooring. We had the tasting menu and everything was delicious. A foodies dream.
We also ate breakfast at the hotel and the menu was outstanding; a wide assortment of egg dishes not typically prepared, which was a nice surprise since most breakfast menus can tend to mirror each other.
We hung out in the bar one night which was a great. Perfect for champagne and a hip lounge scene.
The Franklin is newest edition to my favorite hotels. The property and staff are outstanding. You feel like your living in a posh townhouse rather than a hotel.
I can’t wait to go back and stay here.
Here is the link with more pictures of the hotel and other suites. Have the best time!
