I Heart Mara Hoffman! Since launching her brand 14 years ago. She has been the queen of tribal psychedelic/ kaleidoscope prints for as long as I can remember. She amazes every year by the ever changing evolution of her brand, while yet still staying recognizable year after year. Being from Miami, I’ve followed Mara Hoffman for years and nothing says summer like her prints. I was lucky enough to sit second row at her show and was beyond thrilled to cover it for my blog.
Her 2015 collection was inspired from Guatemala, its people and culture. The colors are so vibrant they practically popped off the fabrics. For me, it was a lovely reminiscence of the Lisa Frank stickers I used to collect when I was kid. Do you remember those? Thats the type of eye popping color that walked the runway. The collection comprised of a lot of laser cut out one pieces, cropped rashie’s, high wasted bottoms and beautiful flowing cover ups. All stunning while being functional and flattering. Im not sure if you noticed the photo of the hair style worn for the show, but it was so awesome!! They braided the hair and then wrapped palm frond to the end. It looked so cute. I really think Im going to try this on a beach vacay. It really was such a big piece of the presentation for me. Shoes where provided by Madison Harding and they complemented the collection perfectly. The jewelry was Orly Genger by Jaclyn Mayer, hair and makeup was Catwalk and Stila. Words that come to mind, Nailed it!
