Since I’ve spent most of time and life in Miami, I decided it was time to do a Miami City Guide. I teamed up with Rebecca Taylor in the announcement of their first Miami store opening up in Aventura Mall.
Here is a perfect day in beautiful Miami from start to finish.
Start your morning at the best coffee shop in town: Panther Coffee
Panther Coffee is known for roasting their beans and making a fantastic cup of nitro brew. It’s located in the heart of Wynwood right next to Wynwood Walls. Panther Coffee is one of Wynwood’s original pioneers and attracts everyone from local artist, entrepreneurs and out of towners. It’s a great spot to catch some of Miami’s local flare and charge up for the day. Panther Coffee 2390 NW 2nd Ave. Miami, FL 33127
Check out Miami’s famous local art scene: Wynwood Walls
Wynwood is best known for graffiti and street art. You can’t look any direction without seeing an amazing mural, art installation or artist busy at work. Famous graffiti artist from all over the world pine over space at Wynwood walls to have their work displayed. It’s an excellent space to browse through and than grab a quick bite a Wynwood kitchen. Wynwood Kitchen is known for eclectic small plates and carrying Miami’s local craft beers. You can sit outside on their deck listen and watch the local artist at work. Wynwood Walls and Kitchen 2550 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127
Take a leisurely bike ride around Miami Beach to catch some views and a possible glass of rose at Miami’s only waterfront restaurant: South Pointe Park
South Pointe Park is the perfect way to capture fantastic Miami city views, get a bit of exercise and enjoy a glass wine overlooking the water and watching crew ships pass by. You can rent Cite bikes at the entrance of South Pointe and ride along the pathways allowing for views of both the bay and the beach. It’s a great spot for pictures and getting a view of Fisher Island. When your finished Miami’s one and only beachfront restaurant, Smith and Wollensky is a perfect place to relax, grab a drink and watch crew ships pass by. South Pointe Park and Smith and Wollensky, 1 Washington Ave, Miami Beach FL 33139
Finishing up the day at: Freehand Miami
Freehand Miami is a small gem amongst all of Miami large chain hotels. It started out as a hostel and slowly became one of Miami’s most chic, yet understated hotels. Most tourists aren’t aware it exist, so it has a very cool speakeasy vibe. Their bar is staffed with some of the best mixologists in town and has the only restaurant that serves “farm” better to be called garden to table dishes, grown right from their garden on site. The staff is friendly, and the courtyard is cosy. Freehand Miami, 2727 Indian Creek Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33140
