The truth
Here is my iPhoto diary from Swim week. We had so much fun during Miami Swim Week. It really is one of the best times of the year here, other then Art Basel.
This year was not run by Mercedes Benz so events where either a private showing at hotels or run by Funkshion, which is the new company handling the tents here. The shows that I attended where obviously Style Saves with Ishine 365 and Kai lani, Mara Hoffman, Maaji, Luli Fama, Acacia, Indah, Clover Canyon, Tori Praver, Mikoh and Caffe.
One of the best presentations of the week was Mara Hoffman. She did this amazing showcase at the Versace Mansion on Ocean Drive. It was absolutely stunning and the collection was one my favorites to date. The collection was super feminine, beautiful silhouettes and her famous prints. Colors were a bit more muted this year then in past swim collections, which I actually loved.
Luli Fama came out on the runway with her well-known bright and playful prints. Honestly, if color is your thing Luli is your go to. The cuts and colors where so awesome. It’s always playful and fun and show follows suit.
Maaji was another favorite. Her theme was a desert road trip. I pretty much loved everything. Tori Praver showed for the first time this year. Her line was exactly as I expected, chic and no fuss just like Tori. Acacia was even more minimalist then in past collections. The vibe was “I woke up like this and I’m still look better then you” kind of feel, effortless is how I would sum that up. Indah who I usually love was not the usual. A little to much glitter and flaunty sex appeal for me this year. I’m a bit more Boho. There where some pieces I liked but different vibe then in years passed. I still love the line though, Libby the designer is insanely talented and I love her for just being different.
I did a bunch of events with Glamour Mag, Allure, Linda Farrow, Neutrogena, Peroni, Italia Independent, Reward Style, Bikini Slayer and Nic Del Mar. If your shopping for Bikinis my go to’s are Ishine 365, Nic Del Mar and Bikini Slayer and of course Mermaids. Amazing stores and carry the best selections.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Xx Nik
